Convict on the Loose in the Golden Isles
The Glynn County Emergency Management Agency
has issued a release identifying the escaped convict as Coty Benefield.
He was serving a sentence for burglary in Appling County.
He escaped from work detail on Florida St., St. Simons Island.
He is a white male, 5'7," 175 lbs., brown hair and mustache.
Benefield is wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. If you see him, call 911 immediately.
