Commenting System Updated
In an effort to foster even more discussion, we have enhanced the commenting system. The new system allows for users to add comments with Facebook, Twitter, and OpenID accounts. Additionally it allows for comments on MyGoldenIsles content from other social media outlets to appear here.
Another nice feature is the ability to rate comments left by others and to flag items that are inappropriate or out of line.
Newsletter Signup Added
A newsletter system has been set up. We will use this for important announcements, contests, etc.
You can easily sign up by putting in your email address (in the upper right corner of the site).
New Tag Cloud Added
Added a 3D tag cloud. You can navigate all of the topics that have been covered on the site. Click on one and all of the articles related to that topic will show up in a list.
New Stuff Section Added
Added a section called Stuff. This is for stuff that does not fit elsewhere, such as cool stuff for sale that you have noticed, etc.
Using the Site Page Redone
The using the site page has been improved with pictures to make thing even more clear.
People Section Added
We plan on some features upcoming focused on special people in the area. So the People section has been added.

Beta Launched
I have wanted to provide a community site since moving here 6 years ago! I guess better late than never!!!
The Beta launch is starting today. Still some tweaking to do here and there. But all in all it looks pretty stable. I will be reaching out to people I know for opinions, advice, and hopefully they will share some knowledge here.
Lots of emails and phone calls will be going out the next 24 hours.
