Using the Site

Our aim is to make MyGoldenIsles easy to use. Here is a detailed overview on adding articles and comments.

Adding Articles

Anyone can add an article to the site. But first you need an account. To create an account, click on the register link on the top right of the site.

Login

 

Once you have an account, you simply need to login with your account information to add entries.

Add Blog Entry

Pick the category that best fits your item and click on the Add Blog Entry or Add Event button.

Adding Title and Body

 

Put in a Title and put the meat of your article in the Body section. Contact Information is helpful if you are talking about a business.

Adding an Image

Add an image if you have one, if not do not worry. An editor will find a catchy image to put in there later.

Click Save When Done

Click save when it is ready and done.

Article Saved

Your item is now saved.

Edit If Necessary

Note to click on the edit button if you discover a mistake or need to make a change of any kind.

Private Status Initially

At this point the article is private. Only you can see it.

Submit for Publication

Once the article is completed to your liking, click on the "state" button and select "submit for publication".

Article is Now Pending

Now you are all done. Your article is "Pending Review" and thus has been sent to the publishing team. One of the publishers will review your item, polish as necessary, and publish it to allow for public access to your item.

Commenting on Articles

Anyone can comment on articles that have already been submitted. You will need to be logged in with your account to post a comment.

Add Comment

Simply click on the "add comment" button and hit "save" when it is ready.
