Just a few weeks ago the GTC theater in the Glynn Place mall upgraded one of their theaters for support of digital 3-D movies.

This is not your father's 3-D either. No red/blue lenses, no headaches, and the effect is much better than those old films (speaking from experience -- I even own Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3-D on DVD).

Trust me -- you need to go see Up in 3-D right now if you have not seen it. Great movie even in regular flat vision, but in 3-D it is just such an immersive experience.

Not sure what is next after Up in 3-D -- but whatever it is I plan on attending.

Note that the 3-D movies cost a bit extra -- it is worth every penny and if you keep in mind that the upgrade probably cost the theater about $75,000!
