The YWCA's third annual “Dancing With The Stars ~ Southern Style” will be held on August 15, 2009 at the Hartley Auditorium on Jekyll Island. It will be an evening of dinner and dancing, but with a fun twist! 

Couples, made up of local “celebrities” and dance “professionals”, will be showcasing their talent and many hours of practice in a true competition, just like the popular television show, “Dancing With The Stars”. Attendees may purchase tickets for the event that will allow them to vote for their favorite dance couple, as well as provide a fabulous dinner, fantastic silent auction opportunities and an evening of dancing following the competition.

Tickets are on sale now!  $60 per ticket ($30 tax deductible)

Tickets can be purchased at the YWCA of Brunswick or at Island Design & Architectural Center on St. Simons Island.

Proceeds from this year’s event will provide scholarship assistance to families for childcare so parents can maintain employment.  The donations will also be used to support two important initiatives, Racial Justice Programs and The Women’s Leadership Institute.
