I can safely say that my concerns were unnecessary...

Cargo Portside Grill, located in Downtown Brunswick on Newcastle Street; is a dark and cozy (and noisy, but in a good way) kind of joint. The style of food is American fare with a unique Southern twist. The menu is filled with seafood, steak, and pork entrees decorated with unique sauces, relishes, and tasty side items (the new management has not tinkered with the menu much that I could tell).

On a recent visit one of the specials was lobster mac n' cheese. My wife and I battled over who would get the right to order that dish. Being such a nice guy, I let her have it (and she was nice enough to share). Now this wasn't Kraft mac n' cheese with some bits of lobster tossed in -- which is to say it was totally succulent.

I was in a weird mood and got the blue cheese burger. I rarely go to a place like this and get a burger, but this is no typical burger really. It is a mouth-watering creation and it is kind of unfair to judge it vs. burgers mentioned earlier here. 

For an appetizer we had goat cheese and grilled shrimp enchiladas that were so good as to almost vanish into thin air. Top if off with the best Mojito in town, some good company, and you have yourself a pretty incredible evening.

All in all -- Cargo is still tops in my book.
