Lighten Up - Local Seafood Wine Pairing Dinner
True Vine Wine & Gourmet and Cargo Portside Grill pair up to bring incredible food, wine, and a great time.
What can be more gastronomically satisfying than the perfect partnering of food and drink? In my humble opinion, there is nothing that compares! That is exactly what happened Wednesday evening on the 19th of August at Cargo Portside Grill. The loft area was filled with 40 excited guests who came to savor the amazing dishes that Chef Jayson prepared and sip some equally exquisite wines. The fare was all local seafood paired with beautiful wines that allowed for complete harmony on the palate. According to many, the best pairing of the evening was Trimbach's 2005 Reserve Pinot Gris paired with baked flounder, stuffed with lump crab meat, lemon-white wine butter, on a brie cheese fondue and topped with an almond-parsley pesto; it was a marriage made in foodie heaven.
This was the only the second pairing dinner that True Vine and Cargo partnered together on, but there will be many more in the coming future.
