The first thing you notice when you arrive at Nick's Buffet is that the parking lot is nearly always full and 90% of the vehicles are trucks. Trust me, this is a very good sign.

Nick's Buffet offers Southern food at its best. Classic staples include macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, rice, gravy, greens, creamed corn, lima beans, green beans, cornbread, rolls, and more, all prepared the way God intended them to be.

I love the savory chicken and dumplings, the latter of which is sort of a cross between a noodle and a traditional southern dumpling. It's hard not to eat two bowls it's so good.

My favorite meats are the perfectly seasoned, melt in your mouth fried chicken and fried pork chops, always served on Thursday nights and several times a week at lunch.

Wash everything down with sweet tea and be sure to save room for banana pudding for dessert.

While Nick's may not have quite as much variety to offer, the food always seems fresher, hotter, and tastier than what you get at the larger franchise buffets, and the servers are always friendly and cheerful.

They serve lunch Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and dinner on Thursday nights only from 4:30 PM till 8:00 PM. Come hungry and leave thoroughly satisfied!
