You'll find excellent, authentic Thai cuisine at TupTim Thai, a half-mile north of I-95 at 5448 New Jesup Hwy (Hwy 341).

They offer a wide variety of appetizers, soups, salads and entrées, including house specials, noodles, fried rice, curry and vegetarian dishes. When ordering noodles, fried rice or curry dishes you get a choice of chicken, beef, pork or tofu, and for a bit more you can get shrimp or a meat combo, and while it's not listed as an option, you can get duck (my favorite) as well.

I recommend starting with the TupTim Sampler appetizer which includes their delicious Spring Rolls (2), Tuptim Rolls (2), Crab Rangoon (2), Steamed Dumplings (2) and Calamari. They are served with three tasty sauces on the side.

For entrées I love the noodle dishes. My favorite is the Pad Drunken Noodle which is stir fried rice noodles with spicy egg, onions, bell pepper, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, Thai basil leaves and a choice of meat. I usually opt for the duck, always tender and savory, but I like the chicken too.

If you prefer fried rice dishes I recommend the Pineapple Fried Rice. For curry dishes, I recommend the Red Curry.

All of their entrées are beautifully garnished and prepared mildly hot and spicy, but they will make them medium hot or very hot to suit your taste.

For dessert you have to try the fried bananas with coconut ice cream. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

They offer a variety of wines and beers including Singha, a very good Thai beer.

Service is always excellent and the Asian decor and atmosphere is very pleasant.

TupTim Thai is open for lunch Monday through Friday and serves dinner seven days a week. They have both a lunch menu and dinner menu. Dine in or carry out. Visit once and I bet you'll become a regular like me.

I love this place and think it stacks up well with best Thai places I have ever been to. A favorite of mine is the Massaman Curry, which to me almost has an essence of an Indian dish. The Thai Chicken salad is great for lunch. Great service and nice people running the place helps too!

I utilized the Thai Restaurant that was there before this one a few times a month. Not sure why I have not given this one a try.
Mostly I miss the lunch buffet.

Appreciate the thumbs up and will probably put in a lunch order tomorrow since it is just down the street from my workplace.

Oh I hope they have Tom Ka Kai!
Sure it is 90 degrees out but I have not had it in over a year!

Why wait?

Just placed an order for Tom Kha Gai and Satay.
This site is going to be trouble for me.
I can see it already. LOL

We agree!

I'm relatively new to Thai food, but I absolutely love this place! The pineapple fried rice is great, and the spring rolls are always a great start. It's also nice to find a place that serves "different" food that they enjoy.
